Halloween was great! We did lots of fun stuff like carving pumpkins with our Grade One buddies. We helped them carve their pumpkins and take out all the seeds. We had to help them count the seeds and the easiest way for them do that was to group the seeds in 10's. We helped them clean up the mess afterwards...there was a lot of mess!
Later that day, we carved our own pumpkins and saved all the seeds. Mrs. Smith took them home, roasted them and brought them back the next day for us to try. All of the pumpkins that were carved at BES were collected and taken to the Town of Barrhead "Pumpkin Walk".
On Friday, we watched the movie "Where the Red Fern Grows". We had snacks and pop and lots of different treats. Some of us dressed up. We had a fun Halloween!
